Has anyone ever replaced the oem selector valve with one of those pollak 6 port universal va.
Chevy dual tank fuel switch wiring diagram. 1976 chevy 454 big block with factory dual fuel tanks. I dropped both fuel tanks yesterday and removed all the hoses to measure roughly 9 feet for both so i am halfway there. It will make a soft noise under the rear cab section with the key on with the engine off. Zif you do hear it sounding the switch your tank unit for that one tank you try to switch to is a fault.
The gas gauge shows e and the fuel message board says low fuel. I am looking for the wiring diagram for the fuel tank switch valve in the rear of a 1989 chevy 3500 dually with a 454 engine. From the circuit controller the circuit goes into the circuit load. Can you please help.
On all trucks in 76 and 77 whether single or dual tanks the fuel gauge wire tan comes from the main bulkhead connector at the firewall routes through the engine wiring harness. My 02 gmc 3500 dump fuel gauge is broken. The circuit load can be one. The dual tank selector switch wasn t too complicated from looking at my shop manual wiring diagrams.
I tried installing a new sending unit in each tank but that didn t solve the issue.
